A site about-whatever.

I have completely updated theme manager and Stardock Central. Why do I get a message something like "the file type you passed for such and such(Icon Packager, WindowBlinds, etc.)is not valid, when I try to apply a suite? Also, some suites when applied either crash explorer or apply only a minimal pre-xp taskbar and windows with no borders, making them impossible to move(one suite I have had this problem with is Advance4Life)? Any help would be truly appreciated!

...dunno... what kind of graphics card you have?

it could be that you set iit to too high resolution or sumthin?

Nvidia Ti4800. I'm using 1024x768 on a 17 inch flatpanel, so that should'nt be the problem. Anyway.that wouldn't cause the error message, you think?

it shouldn't be those things. My suggestion is to uninstall all of the stardock products and reinstall them. something might have gone wrong when you were updating them.

I think I see the problem here. I've had the same problem many times. It was hard to figure out from your description but tell me if I'm wrong. Are you having trouble applying the suites from the 1k Winstyles suite files?

Secondly, I don't think that Windows uses the terminology that you suggested. It would help if you gave the exact error message. "the file type you passed.."?

Thirdly, the suites are basically the individual files that you have on your computer. You can apply the icons, windowblind and all other components separately to find if there is a problem with a certain component.

Lastly,
try #6 suggestion. A lot of the times, updating components can cause problems if old components/files aren't erased or d, or properly updated. There are many other problems that #6 may help. Too many to list.

Hi, guys, sorry for the confusion. The error message comes from Theme Manager, not Windows. The exact message is:"The file type you have passed for(Windowblinds, wallpaper.etc.) is not valid."
